For the very first time I was going to Virgina. I had never traveled to the south so this was a new experience to me. My voyage started at 7:30 in the morning. I hoped that I would have a great time down there. The only thing that was missing was my parents and my brothers. On the bright side I got to spend time with my friends.
On my way to Virginia we stopped in Baltimore, Maryland. We stopped for some food and we go to look around in the shops.
After that we got on the bus again and headed to Virginia. We got there at around 4:30. It took a long time to get there. When the person in charge of us got me and my friends our room key we ran to our room.
In the room there was only two beds and three of us. So we decided that we could alternate the single bed.
At Virginia, we went to Bush Gardens. This was the most exciting experience of my life! There were so many roller costers that looked AMAZING! My favorite ride was called 'Griffin'.
When I was on Griffin, I felt as if I was gonna die. There was one point in the ride in which the cart stopped at the top and it dropped all of a sudden. When the cart went down , my heart dropped. I felt butteflies in my stomach.
The rest of the rides were good , but Griffin was by far the best ride there. When it was time to leave Bush Gardens I was sort of upset because I had a really good time there.
When me and my friends left Virginia I said I would never forget this wonderful experience.

  1. This vacation certainly made for a good reflective topic. However, you only narrated the events that transpired on that vacation. The reflection writing genre requires you to recall an experience from the past and tell about how your outlook or attitude towards that experience has changed. The last few paragraphs of a reflection should discuss this new outlook. The organization of your thoughts in a reflection should be subtopics of that larger topic. For example: Snow is my topic. Paragraph subtopics might be: your first memory of snow, school & snow, activities in the snow, and then move into your reflection paragraphs: My most recent experience with snow, school and snow now, my activities with snow now, my overall attitude towards snow now.
